What Odyssey Does Not Do
- No route planning or navigation: Odyssey does not provide maps, GPS tracking, route drawing, or turn-by-turn navigation. Users should use dedicated mapping tools for route planning.
- No gear management: There is no built-in gear inventory, packing list generator, or equipment tracking feature.
- No financial transactions: Odyssey tracks budget savings progress (how much a user has saved toward an adventure's estimated cost) but does not process payments, split expenses, or handle group finances.
- No wearable device integration: There is no sync with Garmin, Apple Watch, Fitbit, Strava, or any other fitness device or service. All health metrics are self-reported.
- No push notifications: The application does not send push notifications via browser or mobile. Users must open the app to check for updates.
- No AI-generated content: Odyssey does not generate training plans, adventure suggestions, or coaching advice. All content is user-created.
- No photo or media sharing: Users cannot upload photos to adventures. Only profile avatars are supported as image uploads.
- No calendar integration: Adventure dates are not synced to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, or any external calendar service.
- No offline mode: The application requires an internet connection to function. There is no offline data access or sync.
- No public profiles or discovery: Users cannot browse other users' profiles or adventures. All data is private to authenticated users and their adventure groups.
- No native mobile app: Odyssey is a web application. It can be installed as a PWA on mobile home screens but is not available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

What Odyssey Is Not a Substitute For
- Professional medical advice: Health metrics and readiness scores are informational tools based on self-reported data. They should not replace consultation with a doctor, physiotherapist, or sports medicine professional.
- Professional coaching or training programmes: Odyssey does not prescribe workouts, periodisation plans, or recovery protocols. Users should consult qualified coaches for structured training.
- Emergency services or safety planning: Odyssey is a planning tool, not a safety system. It does not provide emergency location sharing, SOS features, satellite communication, or avalanche/weather alerts. Users should carry appropriate safety equipment and follow local guidelines.
- Travel insurance or risk assessment: The readiness score does not constitute a risk assessment. Users should obtain appropriate travel and activity insurance independently.
- Financial planning: Budget tracking in Odyssey is a simple savings tracker. It does not provide financial advice, currency conversion, or cost estimation services.

- Self-service account deletion is not yet available.
- Automated data export is not yet available.
